CHIHUAHUAS
Chihuahua`s are the biggest "small" dog out there. They don`t let

their size bother them one bit but think they can take on the world.

I always thought that this breed was ill tempered and snippish. I

guess some can be but the chi`s I have are absolute little darlings,

each with a different entertaining temperment. If you treat your

chihuahua like a baby and carry it around all the time, then it can

not act like a "real" dog. I find if I treat them like a bigger dog

they respond astoundingly well. They are small enough for an

apartment dog, and do not need a lot of exercize but will run with

abandonment in your house. They also love to run and play in the

great outdoors although a fenced area is recommended.

The picture shows my four month old, long coat female, Teena,

running flat out as she is being chased by Joy`s Boy.

/i//CHIHUAHUA_and_mom11_11_08.JPG Chihuahua`s also loved to be played with and cuddled. In their down

time, they crash anywhere and sleep to revive themselves for the

next play period.

If you don`t like them to chew shoes, etc. then supply them

with toys and chew bones. I have dogs in my house and they don`t

chew furniture - works like a charm.

The picture show my 92 year old Mom with four chihuahua`s on her lap.

Chihuahua`s can be absolutely any color or combinations of colors.

Some have a short, smooth coat, while others have the long coat.

The silky long-coats are beautiful and soft with their hair laying

close to their bodies. They take very little care when it comes to

grooming them.

JODY, my white long-coat female is shown in the picture. She weighs

just over six pounds and loves to cuddle beside you in a chair.

/i//JOYS_BOY_male_chihuahua__11-17-08_1.JPG Some long-coat dogs have the appearance that looks similar to the

coat of the pomeranian. Shown here is my four pound male, Joy`s

Boy. You can see that the coat lays differently on the body.

My black and tan, five and one half pound short coat female is

called PURDY. And she is 'purdy'----'purdy' in looks, 'purdy' good

at getting everybody moving and all stirred up and 'purdy' good at

hiding when it is time to go to bed. She prefers my bed instead of

hers, so we play a game every night of ---catch me if you can.

/i//RITA_chihuahua_10-08_good.JPG RITA, my little angel, is only four pounds and very fine boned.

This tiny female has a short coat that simply shines.

This is BAM BAM. He is not happy about getting his picture taken.

He is a gorgeous five pound, red, short-coat male. His personality

is so very loving and he will lick you clean on a moments notice.

This black and tan female was JODY and BAM BAM`s little girl. She

was the sweetest pup. Her tail wagged so fast it looks like a little

helicopter, thus her name Helo. She has been sold.

This six pound, long coat female is SIENNA. She is the sweetest dog

but is sly like a fox when it comes to catching her when she does

not want to go outside. And she looks like a fox in coloring right

to the tip of her tail.

As I said before, every dog has his or her personality and that

makes for an interesting day in my household.

PURDY had one baby on February 18,2009, a little male which I call

Tiny Tim. He thinks he`s a big dog like his sire BAM BAM. He

attacks the cat or any other thing that moves. When he crashes he

likes to be cuddled in my arms. Not spoiled at all. In the picture

he`s getting ready to pounce on his well chewed bone. He will be

for sale after he is eight weeks old for $600.
